Retirement villages provide independent living in private homes - residents manage their own daily lives and choose the level of support they need. Care homes provide 24-hour residential or nursing care for people who need daily assistance. Many retirement villages, including those operated by Retirement Villages Group, offer on-site support services that can be accessed as needs change without requiring a move to a care home.
ARCO (Associated Retirement Community Operators) is the industry body that sets consumer protection standards for retirement community operators in the UK. ARCO membership means a provider has met standards covering transparency, contracts, care quality, and resident rights. Retirement Villages Group is a full ARCO member, meaning residents can purchase or rent with confidence in the transparency of our fees and the quality of our services.
While each village has its own unique character, most include a restaurant or bistro, fitness suite or swimming pool, gardens, a village hall or events space, concierge services, and on-site wellbeing and care support. Some villages also feature hair salons, libraries, and bars. Visit our individual village pages to see what each community offers.
